In our solar panel cleaning experience the average house has about 27 panels. Most panels are 350-450W’s. This means most people have more or less a 10kW solar system. There is another metric called efficiency factor, this is what we specialize in. Pros calculate the amount of energy lost due to wiring, panel heat, loss at the inverter, and things like dirt, pollen, and algae on the panels. lets say the efficiency factor brings your system down to 80% when your panels are perfectly clean, I think 80% is on the low side too. In Florida we have a favorable solar panel climate so our peak hours are higher than the national average of about 5 peak hours/day, so more like 5.5 peak hours. At my last place, in 2025, we were paying $0.18/kWh on our electric bill. So, lets work these numbers out:

This is part of the reason we offer two different price points. New panels and recently cleaned panels are less dirty and easier to clean so we can offer a lower price on cleaning your panels. Old panels are dirtier and a bigger project so we are priced for that too. We want you to save money when you hire us.
Reasons why you might NEED solar panel cleaning
- You can see ALGAE growing on your panels from the ground. Clean for sure!
- It’s been a while since your panels were installed/cleaned.
- Visible pollen or other debris. (pollen and algae are the big ones in Orlando)
